New Testament Course

Galloping through the Gospels (New Testament Survey Course, part two)

The New Testament Survey course will be restarting this fall.  During the spring, in phase one, we studied factors affecting the formation of the New Testament.  We will be continuing this fall, in phase two, by reading and studying the gospels of Mark and Matthew.

The course is offered every other Tuesday night.  We start the fall Gospel phase on Tuesday September 25, 2018 at 7:00 pm in the Upper Room at the church.  The first night will be a review of the material, from the spring.  We will then examine the gospels written by Mark and Matthew. Do consider arranging your fall schedule, to attend phase two of the course.

As followers of Jesus, we study a few verses at a time, listening to hear what God is saying to us.  We read it in the context of our overall understanding of the gospel.  A favorite bible scholar suggested that we do not know the Gospel, until we know the Gospels.  Consider taking time this fall, to experience an entire gospel at one sitting, to understand how a particular verse fits in the whole.
