I grew up in Winston Salem, North Carolina. After making the decision to follow Chirist at age 17, I went to Tennessee Temple University in pursuit of a formal Christian eduacation. It was there that my passion for Chiristian education started to develop and I began to sense a call on my life to teach in some capacity with the world of Christian education. I also met my wife Lauren while at university, who is also a passionate and gifted teacher and is without a doubt one of God's greatest blessings in my life. The sense of God's calling on my life led me to continuing studying in an academic setting. After earning my Masters of Theology, God opened up doors for me to pursue earning a Ph.D in Christian Theology/Old Testament at McMaster Divinity College, where I am currently studying. Over the years, as I have been gracefully allowed the opportunity to continue studying, my passion to see God work in the lives of men and women through Christian education has continued to grow and develop as it continues to make a deep and lasting impact on my own spiritual journey and growth.
