pastor of connections and discipleship

My relationship with God began at a very early age. Growing up, my father was a pastor, so like many pastors’ kids, I spent an entire childhood at church functions and meetings. I gave my life to Jesus about 15 times. Every salvation call, there I was! However, it wasn't until the age of 17 that I fully and completely gave my life to Jesus. During the next few years, God really began to open my eyes and heart to the plan and purpose that he had for me...which was, I discovered, a call to full-time ministry.
Now, for most a call to full-time ministry entails a pretty standard path. Generally, you go to Bible college/seminary, graduate, and then land a job at a church and begin your ministry. But for me, well, let's just say I took an unconventional route. I entered my first year of Bible school at age 21, and I finished at age 35. (For the detailed story, it is better discussed over a cup of coffee!). If there is one word to describe this 14-year journey, it would be perseverance. Life threw me many ups and downs and there were many times when I wanted to quit or run away from the calling God had on my life, but through it all God's call remained constant and His Word faithful.
I am married to my beautiful wife, Ramona, who teaches dance and is German. We have spent the past three years working and serving at Christengemeinde Freiburg where Ramona’s father is the pastor. At the beginning of 2018, we both felt that God was calling us to Canada. Through a series of open doors, we find ourselves coming to Burlington and being given the privilege and honour of serving at Wellspring Church. We are both really excited to see what God has in store for both Wellspring, us, and the city of Burlington.
